HAOSAIL Middle East Team Delivers On-Site Equipment Installation, Commissioning and Operator Training for Gulf Workshops

HAOSAIL’s service commitment follows its equipment wherever it is installed, and the Middle East is one of the regions where local support matters most. Recently, HAOSAIL’s regional technical team, working from the company’s Gulf-area service network, completed the on-site installation, commissioning and operator training for a customer’s full workshop package — including alignment-ready four-post lifts, 3D wheel alignment equipment, a tyre changer and a wheel balancer. The project brings the same local-service model already established in Africa to workshops across the Gulf.

Commissioning the equipment on site

Before handover, the HAOSAIL team confirmed that the lifts were anchored to a solid, level concrete floor in line with the installation requirements. Anchor bolts, hydraulic connections, steel cables, mechanical safety locks and electrical components were inspected, and key operating positions were adjusted. The wheel alignment system was then installed, tested and calibrated so that the cameras, targets, turntables and wheel clamps could deliver stable and accurate measurement results from the first customer vehicle.

Each machine was operated through a complete service cycle together with the customer’s technicians, confirming that the equipment worked properly in the workshop’s own bays rather than only under factory test conditions.

Maintenance guidance for a hot, dusty climate

Gulf operating conditions place different demands on workshop machinery, and the commissioning visit included practical guidance tailored to the local environment:

• Keep power units ventilated — ensure the motor and hydraulic unit have clean airflow and are not boxed into hot, unventilated corners.
• Protect cameras and targets from dust — clean lenses and target faces more frequently with a soft cloth, and store targets away from direct sunlight and heat when not in use.
• Inspect hoses and cables for heat aging — check hydraulic hoses, wiring and cable runs more often for hardening, cracking or brittleness.
• Keep runways and turntables clear — remove sand, grit and oil so the lift, slip plates and turntables move freely during alignment work.

These habits help protect both measurement accuracy and equipment service life in conditions where dust and high ambient temperatures are part of daily operation.

Training the operators who stay behind

Alongside technical commissioning, the team delivered hands-on training for the customer’s staff, covering the standard operating procedures for the four-post lift and wheel alignment equipment, daily inspection points, safety precautions, routine maintenance and basic fault recognition.

Rather than simply installing the machines and leaving the site, HAOSAIL focuses on making sure operators understand why each step matters — engaging the mechanical safety locks before working underneath a raised vehicle, mounting clamps and targets securely, and following the alignment software step by step. Confident operators make fewer errors, experience less downtime and move more vehicles through the bay every day.
