Basic knowledge of driving roller

1、 The driver of roller must be trained and qualified before operation.

2、 Before driving the roller, carefully read the operation and maintenance manual of the roller, ask for all operating systems of the roller, be proficient in the working performance and working site of the roller, and operate in strict accordance with the requirements of the manual.

3、 Preparation before starting

a. Before starting the engine, check the oil level and liquid level of each system, check whether the coolant is normal and reliable, and check whether the bolts of the connecting parts are loose.

b. Check whether the electrical system is in good condition.

c. Check whether there are people or obstacles near and below the roller.

d. Check that the vibration switch is open and the transmission gear is in neutral.

e. Check whether all instruments, steering wheel, brake system, lamp and horn are normal, safe and reliable.

f. Before loading the roller, make sure that there are no people or obstacles near or under the roller.

4、 Starting and driving

When starting the engine, the gear lever must be in the neutral position, and the throttle handle should be in the 1 / 4 gear position; the engine can only be started from the driver's seat.

a. Warm up the engine for 5-10 minutes after starting the engine, and observe whether the readings of each instrument are normal.

b. Release the handbrake and step on the clutch pedal before shifting. Pay attention to the complete separation of the clutch. It is strictly forbidden to shift when the clutch is half off and half closed. When releasing the clutch, the speed should be slowed down as much as possible to reduce the instantaneous impact on the transmission gear.

c. In case of emergency braking during operation or driving, it is necessary to step down the main clutch plate to cut off the power, and then step on the automatic pedal. Otherwise, it is easy to damage the brake. When the brake is released, the automatic pedal shall be released first, and then the main clutch pedal shall be released to resume driving.

d. It is strictly forbidden to switch the speed on the ramp, and it is forbidden to slide out of gear when going downhill. When going up and down the slope, the first gear speed shall be applied, and it is forbidden to go up and down the slope at high speed.

e If the clutch slips during operation, stop the machine immediately and separate the main clutch. The clutch must be checked, adjusted and eliminated. Do not increase the throttle, try to drive with high speed and high frequency, otherwise the clutch plate will be burned.

f. When changing the driving direction, first pull the reversing handle from the forward (backward) position to the middle position, and then pull the handle to the backward (forward) position after the machine stops stably. Do not pull it in place at one time, so as to avoid damage to parts due to sudden change of driving direction; it is strictly forbidden to start from parking and use high speed gear directly.

g. Do not turn when driving at high speed.

h. When several rollers work together, the distance between them should be more than 3 meters to avoid collision or steering difficulty.

i. Long distance driving should be avoided. When long-distance transfer is needed, flat cars should be used for transportation.

j. When the road roller stops, it should be stopped on the road side and the hand brake should be tightened. If it is necessary to park on the ramp, block the driving wheel and vibrating wheel with stones or similar objects.

5、 Vibration operation

a. When the roller vibrates, push the throttle handle to the full load position, i.e. the engine speed (2200 RMP). The vibration switch can be operated for vibration compaction only when the operating speed is below 2 gears.

b. The vibratory roller driven by single steel wheel tire is suitable for compaction of foundation layer and secondary foundation layer, but not for surface layer; high amplitude compaction for primary foundation layer and low amplitude compaction for secondary foundation layer.

c. It is forbidden to open the vibration on hard ground to avoid damaging the vibration bearing; it is forbidden to vibrate the road roller in situ, otherwise the ground may be crushed into waves.

d. When converting the high and low amplitude, it must stay for 1-2 minutes, and the switch can be carried out after the vibration wheel completely stops vibrating.

e. When the loose materials are compacted, they should be static pressed for 1-2 times before vibration rolling.

f. When the roller is vibrating, pay attention to whether there is abnormal sound and smoke, especially whether there is abnormal noise of the vibrating wheel. If abnormal phenomenon is found, stop the machine immediately for inspection.

g. When the temperature of the instrument is abnormal (85 ° C), pay attention to whether the temperature of the instrument is abnormal or not.

6、 Roller stop

a. Turn off the vibration switch before parking.

b. Step on the clutch pedal, put the shift lever in neutral and release the clutch pedal.

c. Pull the throttle handle to gradually reduce the engine speed to about 800 R / min and run for 3-5 minutes to reduce the engine temperature.

d. Then turn the ignition key to position o, turn off the engine and cut off the circuit.

7、 Daily maintenance

a. Carry out regular maintenance in strict accordance with the operation and maintenance instructions of each system.

b. Strict maintenance and maintenance should be done in the first maintenance of the new machine, which helps to extend the service life of the whole machine, and regularly add grease to each grease injection point to avoid sintering.

c. After each operation, the system should be cleaned, and the pipeline interface should be checked for leakage, and the radiator should be cleaned to help enhance the heat dissipation.

d. If it is not used for a long time, the rear wheels should be padded to keep the tires off the ground and the front frame should be jacked up so that the damping block is not under pressure; it must be started every three months to make the roller run at low speed for 10-15 minutes.
